We were one of those nasty people who took a flight during the Covid pandemic. We did follow the government regulations and they said it was safe to fly and visit Italy. The easiest way to get to Milan from the airport is by train. You can buy your tickets online before arrival. Our hotel was located 10 minutes from the train station so after a short walk to the hotel, our holiday could begin.

The next morning we had a lovely breakfast at our hotel NH Milano Touring. After breakfast we started exploring the city starting with Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. This high-end shopping arcade is the place you want to avoid when you do not want to spend money.

You cannot leave Milan without passing by the Duomo to enjoy a free concert while sitting at the square or in one of the many rooftop bars enjoying a glass of italian wine.
The next morning a train took us to Florence…
