Our roadtrip through Italy started in Milan. The magical city of fashion where the mini fashionista looked forward to expanding her wardrode with designer clothing.

We were one of those nasty people who took a flight during the Covid pandemic. We did follow the government regulations and they said it was safe to fly and visit Italy. The easiest way to get to Milan from the airport is by train. You can buy your tickets online before arrival. Our hotel was located 10 minutes from the train station so after a short walk to the hotel, our holiday could begin.

Enjoying a designer gelato in Milano. It was the only designer item we could afford.

Milan is like the models that walk the catwalk, distant, vain and dull. But if you find the right location absolutely stunning.

The high-end designer paradise Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.

The next morning we had a lovely breakfast at our hotel NH Milano Touring. After breakfast we started exploring the city starting with Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. This high-end shopping arcade is the place you want to avoid when you do not want to spend money.

The mini fashionista and her followers.

You cannot leave Milan without passing by the Duomo to enjoy a free concert while sitting at the square or in one of the many rooftop bars enjoying a glass of italian wine.

The next morning a train took us to Florence…
