Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia and one of the world’s top travel destinations. You’ll be amazed to find that no matter how many times you go back to this remarkable city, you inevitably discover something new and wonderful with each visit.

La Sagrada Familia is definitely one of the top sights in Barcelona. It’s also the most visited tourist attraction in Spain each year, so that’s why we decided to start with it! After a long walk, we found a lovely bar with tapas and wine. One of the many stopovers while exploring this vibrant city.

Sagrada familia being the first must visit in Barcelona, the next day we went on a nice long walk the explore the second one: Parc Guell.

As our feet were sore from the two days of walking around Barcelona, we decided to get tickets for the red hop on hop off bus. An excellent plan for our tired feet.

The details highlighted in Casa Batlló show famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí at his best. Of all the Gaudí apartments in Barcelona, this is probably the most recognized. Sitting down the main shopping street it’s easy to find and to visit with a teenage daughter when you promise to go shopping right after.
